Sorry I've Been MIA!! Exciting Stuff Coming Up!

Hello to all my lovely readers!!  I know I don't take the time very often to reach out to you all with a personal post, but I thought right now would be the perfect time since you may be wondering where in the heck I've disappeared to.  Rest assured, I am still here! 

 

Last month I stepped outside of my comfy (while admittedly somewhat mundane) little life as a stay at home mom, and I started my first semester as a college student.  It's been 15 years since I graduated from high school, so this has been an extremely big adjustment for me and also for my family who are used to having me available at every beck and call.  Since I'm not working at the moment I decided to jump in with both feet and take on a full time course load.  Wow!  Did I ever underestimate the amount of work I was getting into!!  It will all be worth it in the end though when I have my degree in hand as a Web/App Designer.  I'm really enjoying myself, but my free time has been slim.  Unfortunately, that means I've given up precious reading and blogging time.  Now that I've begun to adjust to my new daily routine I plan to pick up the pace with my reading and get back into this blog 100%. 

 

While I've been sparse these past few weeks, things have not come to a grinding halt!  Oh no...I have tons of great things going on behind the scenes!  First of all, this weekend I will be going to the Decatur Book Festival!  I am planning to stalk the Indie authors booth so look out Colleen Hoover, Abbi Glines,  Liz Reinhadt and all you amazing Indies!  The author lineup for this festival is phenomenal!!  Who knows what I may come home with.  If you could pick one SIGNED book for me to  use in a giveaway, what would it be?  Leave me a comment and I'll see what I can do!

 

While I may not have as much time to sit and read lately, I do have a commute to school.  This has given me a lot of time for audiobooks.  Right now I'm in the middle of the Tiger's Quest series by Colleen Houck.  If you've been reading this blog you know how unbelievably excited I am about the release of book four, Tiger's Destiny!  I did a ARC review a few weeks ago but was left unsatisfied when the ending was left out!  September 4th is almost here and I cannot wait!!  So, look for those reviews in the very near future.  If you are also a fan of this series (or if you've never read them!) be sure to check out the blog tour!

I've also signed up to join Lost Generation Reader in a Harry Potter Read Along.  This is one of my favorite series yet I haven't done reviews on them.  I'm going to remedy that!  I will also be listening to the audiobooks for this Read Along.  If you enjoy audiobooks I highly recommend these!  They are amazing!!  If you'd like to join us please go sign up.  It starts tomorrow!!

 

 

One of my very favorite things to do on this blog is giveaways!  I have signed up for several giveaway hops with I Am a Reader, Not a Writer for the near future, one of which starts tonight!  So be on the lookout!  I am also only 7 (wow!!) followers away from hitting the 500 Followers mark!  I think that would be the perfect time for an amazing giveaway!!

 

And lastly, I am working with the amazing and lovely Lori at Imagination Designs to revamp the boring design of Silver Wings!  I am just giddy with excitement waiting to unveil!  Very soon you will see the new and improved Silver Wings Reviews!  This may be cause for another fun giveaway...who knows!!
